Preparation


1) For the filling
For the filling, place the flora, sugar and orange zest in a pan. Heat until the flora and sugar are melted.

Add the apple and plums. sprinkle the cinnamon and ground ginger over the fruit. Cook until the plum is soft nearly resembling a puree but the apple should soften but retain its structure. then remove from the heat.

Pour the mixture into a colander to remove any excess liquid. Leave the mix to cool.

2) For the cumble
For the crumble topping, preheat the oven to 180oc.

Mix the gluten free flour, caster sugar, ground hazelnuts, and FLORA together with your hands, using your fingertips to rub the dry ingredients into the flora.

Place this mixture on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden-brown. Stir the crumble every five minutes so that it cooks evenly. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.

3) To assemble
Spoon the apple and plum mixture into the cooked pastry case. Cover the apple and plum mixture with the toasted crumble.

Bake in the oven at 180C for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling.

Serve.
