For the lemon rice

  • Rapeseed oil 100 ml
  • Onions 250 g
  • Turmeric 5 g
  • Water 1600 ml
  • Basmati rice 750 g
  • Lemon juice 80 ml
  • Coriander 30 g
  1. For the lemon rice

    • Heat the oil in a suitable pan and add KNORR Pataks Korma Paste and 100ml of water.
    • Cook for 2 minutes then add the diced onions and continue to cook for a further 5 minutes.
    • Pour in the remaining water and bring to the boil.
    • Add the rice, turmeric and lemon juice and bring back to the boil.
    • Reduce the heat to a simmer then cook for 10 minutes or until 60% of the water has evaporated.
    • Cover and remove from the heat then leave to continue steaming for 15 minutes.. Uncover and stir through the chopped coriander.
